Eddy's Motel

This is a hidden gem. The location is right off of the bay, with a 15 minute drive to Charleviox. They have baked treats, coffee and tea; nice little touches. The rooms are clean and bed is very comfortable. The outside has several sitting areas and a bubbling stream. Both people I spoke with were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Eddy goes above and beyond greatness as a host and owner. This quaint motel is directly across the street from the water, where there is a beach to relax and swim. There are paddle boats to use, free of charge. He leaves snacks(some homemade- the banana bread is amazing) in the office. There is also refillables for coffee and cream. Need ice? They have an ice machine also. The beds are 10/10 comfortable- Amazing! Restaurants near by, choose Marty’s over Foundry for great food reasonably priced. I can go on and on but you should really find out yourself! I can’t wait to return.

I have been staying at Eddys place since January and I have always been treated well. The rooms are clean and well stocked. The water of Lake Charlevoix is just a stones throw away and Eddy provides peddle boats for use while you stay. Eddy is always available for my needs and goes above and beyond for his guests. Consider booking here on your next vacation.

This is a great location with views of Lake Charlevoix. The owner was communicative and checking in was super easy, we were texted a code and didn’t have to worry once we got there about getting a room key or checking in. The rooms are very clean. One of the best parts was being greeted and visited by the resident cat, Hobbs. The owner left us banana bread in our room too! We will be returning :)

Great little place that is not only in a picturesque location with fun stuff to do, but is also centrally positioned to all kinds of things to go check out! Or, if just chilling is your thing, it's also an excellent place for that as well, complete with hammocks near a burbling brook, a fire pit, a view of Lake Charlevoix, a BBQ grill (a nice Weber to boot!) and lots of yard space for however you choose to recreate! The staff is great, and Hobbes (the Manager and Resident Cat) does a great job delegating tasks to his human, Eddy, to ensure you have everything you need for a pleasant stay, including some of the best homemade banana bread I've ever eaten! The building has been around for a many years (for as long as I can remember, and I'm in my late 50's), and while renovations are still in progress, you can tell that the owner (Eddy) really puts his heart and soul into it, and goes above and beyond to accommodate his guests. He is super chill and one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will definitely visit again!

These are flashbacks to the old cottages surrounding the lake. It’s quaint, new decorations, new everything. Prices are very reasonable. Rooms are small but you should jump in lake across the street.

They were able to accommodate us last minute. The rooms are small and very comfortable. Fantastic beds and adorable property. We will definitely be back!

I can’t recommend this place enough. Not only did they help us with early check in so that we had enough time to get ready for a wedding we came to town for, I made a big mistake and locked the keys in our car. The owner offered to call around and help us find someone to get into the car as well as offered to drive us to (and pick us up late at night) where the wedding was because we wouldn’t have access to our car on time. Absolutely above and beyond friendliness and accommodation from them. And the place itself is super cute. Right on the water with a quiet stream running through the property with lots of cute lounge areas to enjoy it. 10/10 , love it and will be back if I’m ever in the area !

If you want a 5 star motel with a view Eddy's is the stay for you. The customer care is is top of the line, the rooms are comfort,style and views al in one. Every where you walk is a waterfall stream, hidden hammocks and beautiful landscaped flower beds and creative art. Flowers in front of every room and outdoor swings and furniture to die for. The rooms have overstuffed beds and beautiful comforters along with microwave, refrigerators and a towel warmer in bathroom. We wanted for nothing. Eddy us an amazing host and his staff professional and accommodating. Last but not least there is the resident cat Mr hobbs. He is there to greet all with a friendly meow.
